RURALHAUS is a bespoke studio nestled in the heart of the Canadian Prairies, founded by designer Courtnie Knight.

Whether designing homesteads, barns or remote cabins, the focus is on crafting spaces rooted in the character and traditions of the rural West. The studio is deeply influenced by the rhythms of the land, seasons, and the storytelling embedded in rural and vernacular architecture.

Their own home, GYLENHAUS, serves as a case study for alternate construction practices, site-informed design, and integration of personal heritage pieces upon a minimalistic palette.
